It’s no secret.
Ladies, we are known to be fantastic preppers.
We make endless to-do lists.
We prep for the prep.
The job tasks.
The slew of appointments.
The special luncheon.
Lists, details… more lists.
We’re on point (or many of us do our best to try to be!)
Imagine if we poured the same amount of energy from all of the above into prepping our food for those hours on the J-O-B.
I’m talking about multiple small meals packed in a big, cold, insulated lunch bag ready to go every day.
Fellow preppers out there will tell you, yes, it does take some time and effort.
But it’s also likely part of their overall success in improving their health.
Planning what you eat can truly help you make wiser choices.
The benefits, such as more energy and reduced fatigue, can be felt over time.
What’s more, placing your body at the top of your to-do list is a wonderful message to send to yourself.
Without our bodies functioning properly, we may not even be able to complete the host of other weekly tasks as well (or at least not with a good attitude!)
I believe this to be true: Packing healthy for your work shift can save your life.
If you work 40 hours a week for even a couple of years, that’s thousands of hours.
What you fill your body with during those hours does matter.
The bonus? I believe packing right can have a domino effect on motivating you to eat a healthy dinner, workout more, experiment with clean foods in the kitchen and dine out less, which saves money.
The list goes on and on.
OK. So, think this packing thing takes too much work?
Take it one week at a time.
I’m betting you know how to start, too.
Grab a pen, plan that grocery trip and make that list.
And here’s the best part: Packing gets easier over time.
