About a year ago, I stopped feeling my stomach drop on a flight.
You know, as soon as it takes off…
That uncomfortable feeling in the pit of your gut.
Argh.
No matter how much I traveled in the past… my stomach would always turn into knots during take off.
And the thing is, I’ve traveled a lot.
Ethiopia, Milan, Paris, Japan, Greece, Cuba.. the list goes on.
I take my bucket list seriously. I LOVE to travel.
So I would never let that brief fleeting moment of a ‘nervous stomach’ ruin my opportunities to see the world.
That would be crazy, right?
But yet that’s what many people do with public speaking.
They won’t do it enough until they get more comfortable.
They stop during take off.
They stop because it felt funny.
They stop because of the nerves.
They stop because they messed up before.
They stop because they can’t see ABOVE the pain.
But that’s not how you get to new levels.
It’s not how you soar.
